User Feedback

User feedback helps Grammarly improve and flags any issues with the Grammarly Text Editor Plugin in your app. We collect feedback by asking users to rate the value of Grammarly’s suggestions and share the average ratings in your app’s dashboard.

How it works

Once a new user interacts with five suggestions from Grammarly, they’ll see a dismissible pop-up asking how valuable Grammarly’s suggestions are. After selecting a star rating from one to five, they can share additional feedback in a text box.

After 30 days, the survey will reappear once the user interacts with five Grammarly suggestions. Additionally, users can submit an in-product survey at any time by opening the Grammarly button menu and clicking Help us improve.

Viewing feedback ratings

In your app’s dashboard, you can view the average user feedback rating over the last 30 days. To learn more, read the Dashboard guide.

Configuration

Collecting user feedback is on by default. We encourage you to leave it on so that you can see the results in your dashboard and help Grammarly improve. However, to stop collecting user feedback, you can set the userFeedback configuration option to off.
